International cooperation and participation in international projects

Latvia’s rich corpus of anthropological material provides the basis for active international research cooperation. In recent years, cooperation has developed with 18 foreign universities and institutes, including the universities of Tartu (Estonia), Vilnius (Lithuania), Oxford (UK), Cambridge (UK), Copenhagen (Denmark), Helsinki (Finland), Stockholm (Sweden), Durham (UK), Tübingen (Germany), Kiel (Germany), Groningen (Netherlands), Irkutsk (Russia), Alberta (Canada), Saskatchewan (Canada), George Mason University (USA), Trinity College Dublin (Ireland), the Free University of Berlin (Germany) and the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology (Germany). 

International collaboration during recent years has included participation in the Baikal Archaeology Project, led by the University of Alberta, Canada. baikalproject.artsrn.ualberta.ca
