From 14 to 16 April 2026, the University of Latvia will host its 84th international scientific conference. We invite scholars, students, and other interested in the field of humanities to submit proposals for the second thematic block "History, Languages and the Resilience of Identity" that includes a section “Crossroads of the Past: Power, Identity, and the Research of History”. It will feature special sessions that will mark the landmark anniversaries of the eminent statistician Marģers Skujenieks (1886–1941) and the Holocaust scholar Andrew Ezergailis (1930–2022), as well as to present the latest research and discoveries in Baltic archaeology. The Institute of Latvian History of the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Latvia invites applications to participate in the section by 2 March.
